Plays Synopsis

Arlecchino Goes to Town (2009) Is a classic Commedia's dell' Arte tale about the mischievous Arleccihino and his circle of friends.  

Australian Audiences (2021) is a play about Queen Elizabeth II and all her Australian  Prime Ministers in private audiences.  While the exact contents of such conversations are not known, they are humorously imagined from Sir Robert Menzies in 1954 right through to Scott Morrison.   

Call of the Vampire (2026) is a classic retelling of the vampire horror story with a twist. Count Dracula with four daughters place Jonathan Harker in a precarious situation.  Along the way, Dr. Seaward and Abraham van Helsing try to stop the spread of Count Dracula's evil ways.  This is a spine chilling new horror adventure.

Caught In The Act (2011) is a Commedia dell'Arte play featuring classic comic  characters.

Christmas In Storyland (2008) is a beautiful  puppet play for children.  

Coco Chanel (2025) is a play about the complex life of the famous French fashion designer, Coco Chanel, creator of Chanel No. 5.  Was she an infamous collaborator or falsely accused?  Much evidence is presented.  The audience must decide who Coco Chanel really was.  

Columbina’s Commedia Mayhem (2011) is a Commedia dell'Arte play with a twist.  Columbina chooses to create a great deal of mischief for all who fall within her orbit.

Commedia dell’Arte Hijinks (2008) is a Commedia dell'Arte play, the first in a series.  

Dottore’s Dilemma (2013) is a tale about how Dottore must deal with comic situations that considerably inconvenience him.  The outcome is not necessarily one that he would chose.

Elisabeth (2025) is a  play that explores the difficult life of the very beautiful and complex Empress Elisabeth of Austria.,

Ekaterinburg (2013) is the tragic tale of Nicholas and his wife Alexandra and their family plus entourage in the final phase of their lives inside the notorious Ipatiev House in Ekaterinburg.  The family and violent revolutionaries interact leading to a final tragic outcome. 

Fredy Hirsch (2025) is a play about the famous Jewish patriot.  Along the way Fredy encounters, many serious issues that he cannot escape,  He valiantly tries to positively deal with problems affecting a great many created by notorious Nazi German authorities. Fredy remains a hero from the Holocaust years.

The Friendly Mummy (2009) is a play for children about Flossy and her father,  The Judge.  Together they discover the mysterious tomb of Queen Nefertiti from Ancient Egypt. While seeing beautiful jewellery within the tomb, Nefertiti informs the unlikely pair that they are cursed for all time. Only a rather funny Magician ends up freeing them.  

The Frog Prince (2021) tells the story of the spoilt Princess who drops her golden ball into a well. It is saved by a Frog Prince. The classic tale is a delightful play for puppets and children.

Heaven Only Knows (2026) explores the adventures of Mavis and Beryl  as they leave one life and discover a new way of being.  They encounter Angel Mist, Old Peter and an unexpected delightful array of celestial beings.  Heaven Only Knows explores how they two woman cope with a range of new unexpected funny situations.

Historical Monologues (2009) consists of a large number of individual monologues featuring famous historical personages.

Labour Saving Devices (2012) is a play that looks into the problematic future where technology challenges basic humanity.  The traditional role of human beings is greatly challenged.  What will be the consequences?

Lots of Animals (2014) is a humorous play for children set in a zoo environment

Maria von Maltzan (2021) is the story of the very brave German Countess Maria von Maltzan  in wartime Berlin as she tries to save many Jewish people under the eyes of the Nazi authorities.

Miep, Otto and Anne (2025) traces the difficult lives of all those hiding within the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.  Miep Gies tries her utmost to  help but ultimately fails, She manages to rescue the famous Diary of Ann Frank, all that remains of the teenage writer.  Otto returns to Amsterdam once the war is over and is confronted with the the loss of his family.  Miep tries to help Otto come to terms with a new reality.

Narnia (2025) is a retelling of the classic story of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

New Monologues for Young Australians (2007) is a collection of monologues for teenage boys and girls.

Occupational Monologues (2009) is a collection of monologues covering a range of jobs.

Peter Rabbit Adventure (2021) deals with the famous story set in the Lake District of England.

Playing With Time (2010)  confronts three teenagers with a number of issues they must resolve.

The Princess and The Devil (2008) is a classic German tale about a fight between good and evil.

The Professor and the Dinosaurs (2021) tells the tale of the  rather eccentric Professor  Feelgood, who along with his colleague the over zealous Doctor Helga von Thinkalot and her wildlife seeking son Safari Sam,  discover dinosaur eggs that hatch and reestablish a world of primeval characters.  It is a piece of theatre-in-education designed to be performed by puppets  to teach children about dinosaurs in a humourous way.

A Puppet Shakespeare (2026) is specifically designed to introduce an audience to some of the works of William Shakespeare by presenting excerpts from Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest plus A Midsummer Night's Dream. 

Rudolf (2011) is the story of the last few weeks of Austrian Crown Prince Rudolf and his mistress Baroness Mary Vetsera.

Santa’s Christmas Postbag (2009) is a children's musical set at the home of  Santa Claus. Peter and Susan go on trip to meet Santa Claus, Merry Christmas his wife and the many elves who work at his North Pole Workshop . That is where they come into contact with three rather evil Goblins who cause much mayhem planning to stop Christmas.  With the help of Edelweiss, the Christmas fairy, the children right wrongs and save the day,

Sparkling Cabaret (2006) is a new cabaret style musical set in the 1920s.

Storybook Monologues (2009) is a collection of monologues featuring a range of storybook characters.

Three Bears vs. Goldilocks (2012)  is about the trial of teenage criminal Goldilocks.

Wallis: A Play in Three Acts (2021) tells the story of Wallis, Duchess of Windsor from her early encounters with Edward, Prince of Wales until the time of her passing. It is a story of a highly controversial romance revealing also the her sad twilight years. 

We’re All In This Together (2008) is a piece of theatre-in- education highlighting the dangers of bullying.

White Rose Sophie Scholl (2025) tells the complex tale of real-life heroine Sophie Scholl and her family and friends trying to fight the despotic Third Reich from 1933 until her tragic death. It is a thrilling new work.

Women of Destiny (2009) is a collection of famous women from history revealing their lives.
