David  has written a book called 'Puppetry'.  It deals with the history of puppetry, Puppetry- in - Education, Puppet Making, staging of puppet plays and writing, plus manipulation techniques.  David is also able to run workshops on different aspects in puppetry.

David has an enormous collection of his own puppets,. He is also the custodian, historical Phillip Edmiston Collection.  Phillip was for a time was a very talented puppeteer.  For many years, he ran the Queensland Marionette Theatre.  Although Phillip is no longer with us, he left behind a very rich cultural heritage.
